America’s Geopolitical Emperors Show Signs of a Waning Throne

On October 7th, 2001, President Bush sent troops into Afghanistan searching for revenge against Al Qaida for the 9/11 attacks. It took us over a decade to find Osama Bin Laden, but we did find him. Navy Seals invaded his compound in Pakistan and put a bullet in his head 10 years ago. The threat of terrorism we were facing in many ways became much stronger after Bin Laden died. Not only was he a martyr, but the United States lost its moral authority to be in Afghanistan and Pakistan after he died. His death wasn’t enough for us though. The U.S. government didn’t just want to defeat the immediate threat, we wanted to erase this man’s way of thinking all together. I wish we could erase his kind of thinking as well, but the past 20 years in Afghanistan

Paradigm Shift Afoot: Time To Demonstrate

A paradigm shift is underway on a global scale. The United States is beginning to deescalate its active military presence in the Middle East. I want to make you aware of an urgent opportunity that these actions present to the people of the United States. It is of utmost importance for the sake of our civil liberties that we demand the reversal of emergency war powers granted to government agencies in response to the 9/11 attacks. We were complacent and forgot the oldest facet of government, demand an inch and steal a mile. Edward Snowden revealed in 2012 that the patriot act was responsible for allowing government agencies to engage in sweeping surveillance on not just suspected terrorists, but any US citizen as well.
