The Red Pill & The Blue Pill have merged forces to fry our brains & send us into the matrix of idiocracy. Take the Purple Pill to get out. Or better yet stop taking pills from strangers.
The Purple Pill Podcast – that name may indicate to some people that this is a show for political centrists – it is not.
This show is about promoting awareness of how we are collectively
controlled.

Which Leads me to todays topic:
Propaganda.
People typically think of propaganda as a sort of misleading advertisement.
This is the most blatant form of propaganda.
But what about propaganda by omission?
If the modern media really were the fourth estate they would be yelling from the roof tops when a shady tax bill first passes and never stop yelling until it is repealed, but instead we get to hear about things like how yet another celebrity is planning on running for president one day.
No matter how few times I click on these articles my algorithm is convinced that I still need to see all the hot Goss headlines
———–///
The American public is undergoing an onslaught of propaganda right now and I can’t help but be a little bit suspicious about it.
Whether it is warranted or not, this virus has received the lion’s share of news headlines for an entire year.
I read finance and economics journals primarily for my news and I’m still flooded with coronavirus news more than anything else.
Maybe this is simply supply meeting demand, but it certainly distracts the public from anything else that’s going on either way.
if a newspaper has a limited reporting capacity which they all do, the writers who are focusing on coronavirus are not reporting on other things.
And regarding these reports,
we are expected to blindly accept any information about the virus if its given to us by a major government organization.
further we are expected to blindly deny and suppress information if it strays from the mainstream viewpoint.
A truly terrifying critical mass of people are going along with this without a second thought…
———————///
The same people who lied us into the wars in the middle east, the same people who spy on us and call us crazy when we call them on it, are the people we are supposed to listen to about the coronavirus?
Umm no thanks, I don’t trust them, and they don’t deserve my trust.
I am not saying that their prior lies are indicative of the degree of truth that exists within the coronavirus narrative.
But to accept what they say blindly is absolutely naïve given what we know about our governments unlimited capacity to mislead us.
An obvious example of this is about none other than the coronavirus.
We don’t know that the coronavirus was made in a lab.
We simply don’t have evidence to support that as a factual statement.
But we have equally as little evidence to support the theory that it came from a wet market.
Yet this is the idea they peddle to us.
Probably for the obvious and some may say justifiable reason that we really don’t want to get into a war with china.
But truth should be paramount above all else.
We should try to avoid war with China, but we need to know the facts either way.
The suppression of information around this subject has only made Americans more suspicious of the government anyways.
What could have been an accidental lab leak is now believed by many to be a Chinese bioweapon.
And maybe it was!
I think its unlikely personally, but covering up the truth just makes people seek alternative conclusions like these even more and I don’t blame them.
When there is a lack of transparency about these things people quickly jump from, “COVID-19 could be a bioweapon”,
to
Covid-19 definitely IS a bioweapon and also it was intentionally created by Bill Gates and Anthony faucci as a way to steal our sperm for ritual sacrifice to the dark lord Ktulu.
At the least what this lack of transparency tells us about our government today is that it doesn’t respect its citizens.
And it’s starting to backfire because its turning patriots into revolutionaries.
Many of our citizens just bow down and submit to the US government without question.
Some go even further by taking it upon themselves to go on social media and denounce “disinformation” before researching the proof behind their own beliefs.
Many people find an idol on TV, internet, radio, etc. and once they trust that person anything they say becomes an indisputable fact.
Indeeed Propaganda would be difficult to execute without false idols.
Most broadcasters simply don’t have enough airtime to possibly explain the details behind their assertions even if their claims are indisputably correct.
The information superstructure portrays things, people, and groups, as inherently good or bad, right or wrong, friend or enemy, and so on. There is no room for nuance with these people anymore.
It is this method of pitting us against each other which has caused many of us in this nation to feel so politically restless.
There is nothing to be patriotic about if you don’t even like your neighbor.
The news from both sides of the isle would have us believe that there is a whole half of the country out there that is in complete opposition to our interests.
The media wants to get people upset so they will feel like we’re fighting for something.
I don’t know if its intentional or if they just know it will pull in ratings, but its certainly effective at making people punch the air and hate each other.
Most people have never even met the person they trust most in media.
Myself included.
Yet we allow this person or persons to enter our brains day after day. We let them tell us what to think and how to feel about what we think.
Rather we should remember that in our own experiences in life, Americans are some pretty amazing and individually unique people.
We shouldn’t let those in control put us in boxes and cast us away from each other on the basis of things that A. Either won’t actually change, or B. barely affect us.
At a what point do we just call this what it is?
hypnosis and mass social control.
In two different episodes of this podcast I’ve discussed at length the egregious violations of individual privacy rights that have occurred in this country over the last several decades.
You would think a massive lie on such an unprecedented scale would remain in the news headlines until something was fixed, but sadly that is not the case.
People are outraged by these lies and are constantly hungry for more information about them, but when stories like this break, they somehow mysteriously lose the media’s interest in a matter of days if not hours.
Its not just what the government lies about that matters though. Its also what they do that is never mentioned to us. We see this with examples like the Panama Papers and the Paradise Papers.
The news knows that people are broadly upset about wealth inequality in America, so they actually talk quite a bit about income inequality.
The only problem is that wealth and income inequality aren’t remotely the same things.
But this narrative allows the most passionate amongst us to become warriors for a cause. It makes a persons emotions feel heard, so they don’t go and do something crazy.
Their fight for something they don’t understand then causes them to become ideologically opposed with the rest of the working population about whether or not to raise income taxes on themselves.
Divide and Conquer.
Its genius. Honestly its true genius.
Somehow, the media mysteriously forgets to keep up their reporting on the fact that 1%ers are out there both legally and illegally dodging their share of the tax pie on a trillion-dollar scale.
This was exposed in the panama papers and paradise papers.
Over the last four and five years since they were both released, there has been virtually nothing in the news about them.
The media doesn’t have any follow up questions about these revelations?
They probably didn’t want to talk about it because the owners of these news outlets are all involved in the same activities described in the papers
The people who claim to be the forth estate, a final check on the three major powers of our government, fill our heads with partisan nonsense all day meanwhile we miss all of the shady deals being made in Washington which allow these companies to do shady things without being noticed. The guise of “financial privacy” is a cloak most often used in defending the lack of transparency regarding taxes.
The Afghan Papers just came out in the last couple years detailing the lies the American people were told about the war in the middle east and still no one is talking about them despite the fact that our troops are still over there.
We are fighting battles on social media but claiming no new lands. We are fighting only to broaden the scope of influence held by our political master’s.
In truth it is those who we are fighting with who should be our greatest allies.
In the book, Breakfast of Champions, Vonnegut paints a picture which explains the real-life phenomena which controls the information superstructure’s trutho-meter when he wrote,
“Kago did not know that human beings could be as easily felled by a single idea as by cholera or the bubonic plague.
There was no immunity to cuckoo ideas on Earth. ***
And here, according to Trout, was the reason human beings could not reject ideas because they were bad:
“Ideas on Earth were badges of friendship or enmity.
Their content did not matter.
Friends agreed with friends, in order to express friendliness.
Enemies disagreed with enemies, in order to express enmity”.
Though often forgotten, we were warned many times about the potential abuses of modern propaganda.
Kurt Vonnegut painted a picture of the inner conflict that binds our brains and keeps us in the matrix of the idiocracy in his book Breakfast of Champions.
George Orwell warns of the downstream effects of a surveillance state in his famously misunderstood novel, 1984.
And Aldous Huxley, who was coincidentally Orwell’s French professor in college, shows us a world in which we subdue ourselves for the sake of others in his novel Brave New World.
I will start with my favorite, Breakfast of Champions because I remember this one in very good detail and it paints the most accurate picture of the current zeitgeist.
In the book, Vonnegut paints a contemporary picture of our world from two different perspectives.
Dwayne Hoover, a well-known Pontiac dealer and the supposed hero of the story
& Kilgore Trout a successful but modest author.
These two main characters represent something like a split personality, where Dwayne Hoover sees the world as it actually is, and his counterpart Kilgore Trout sees the world how he wants it to be.
On page 112 & 113 he writes of an interaction between Dwayne Hoover and a woman, who like so many people today, repeatedly apologizes for her words despite being perfectly polite.
She expresses self-doubt throughout the entire interaction.
saying things like “I guess that isn’t the right word,” After every thought.
Meanwhile she offers praise to Dwayne, who is actually not such a great person despite being the satirically appointed the hero of the story. Hoover is a well-known Pontiac dealer with ads all over town and the woman is starstruck upon meeting him.
The author goes on to explain the strange behavior of this woman saying,
“She was used to apologizing for her use of language. She had been encouraged to do a lot of that in school. Most white people in Midland City were insecure when they spoke, so they kept their sentences short and their words simple, in order to keep embarrassing mistakes to a minimum.”
The passage illustrates the danger of idolatry and how our culture causes us to pacify ourselves.
When a person worships at the feet of their idol, they place themself below that person in their own mind.
As a result, they feel inclined to try to be what their idol wants them to be and stop thinking independently.
In another dystopian tale, better known to the general public, we are offered a portal into our own future if mass surveillance is used for its worst excesses.
George Orwell’s Book 1984, which was written in 1949, depicts a dystopian society with total control over the population which was made possible by mass surveillance.
Everyone in this society is being watched at all times and “thought crime” was the highest offense in the system.
In real life, 1987 was the year that mass surveillance began in America.
I go into more detail about this in the episode called “Big Brother IS Watching You”
But despite the real-life occurrence of mass surveillance, we are not yet in the world of 1984.
We know this because simply having a controversial thought was a crime in that story.
However, we are crawling towards Orwell’s fictional world at an alarming pace.
What will get us there even faster is attempting to escape our struggles with chemicals and adopting an attitude that disapproves of the thoughts had by our unaltered selves.
And perhaps we have already done this.
I am reminded of an alarming study I came across months ago by the Mayo Clinic.
The results showed that 70% of Americans take at least one prescription drug every day.
Alous Huxley, in his book Brave New World describes a drug called “soma” which offers a portrait of what is to come if we remain on this trajectory
In reflecting on the past and the creation of the drug soma, one-character says,
“There was a thing called Heaven; but all the same they used to drink enormous quantities of alcohol.”
…
“There was a thing called the soul and a thing called immortality.”
…
“But they used to take morphia and cocaine.”
…
“Two thousand pharmacologists and biochemists were subsidized in A.F. 178.”
…
“Six years later it was being produced commercially. The perfect drug.”
…
“Euphoric, narcotic, pleasantly hallucinant.”
…
“All the advantages of Christianity and alcohol; none of their defects.”
The study I cited earlier about drug use also mentions that about 48% of Americans take two or more prescription drugs.
Huxley describes this phenomenon as well by describing the effects of a second dose of soma which
“Raised a quite impenetrable wall between the actual universe and their minds”
You may be saying, well its all old people taking these drugs, but this is not the case.
An even more alarming study by the CDC found that “Prescription drug use increased with age, from 18.0% of children under age 12 years to 85.0% of adults aged 60 and over.”
18% of children under 12 are on at least one prescription drug?!?!?!?!
That is absolutely madness.
What was the whole “say no to drugs” campaign even about?
Now I feel like I was just missing out on the party while a fifth my class was getting lit in fifth grade.
No wonder they could tolerate that place.
For me, I had to get out of there.
Just wasn’t diggin the vibe you know?
Maybe its not the kids that are the problem.
Maybe they are simply suffering from confusion as a result of being institutionalized without ever having committed a crime.
And everyone already kind of knows this but we persist with these barbaric systems of education anyways.
Probably because the parents are on drugs too.
“And there’s always soma to calm your anger, to reconcile you to your enemies, to make you patient and long-suffering.
In the past, you could only accomplish these things by making a great effort and after years of hard moral training.
Now, you swallow two or three half-gramme tablets, and there you are.
Anybody can be virtuous now.
You can carry at least half your morality about in a bottle. Christianity without tears-that’s what soma is.”
Maybe we should listen to that lady when she says, Yall need Jesus
because if hes a drug, at least hes a healthier one.

Today the government considers dissenting viewpoints, no matter how much merit they hold, to be disinformation if the truth threatens their power.
But in these cases they rarely offer proof that these dissenting viewpoints are actually fallacious.
There are certainly people out there peddling nonsense.
This type of person is what a well-studied propagandist would call a “Useful Idiot”.
They make the perfect gunpowder for the information superstructure to shoot down anyone who might be asking too many questions.
By pointing to a fringe undereducated person with a lot of suspicions but no evidence, they can lump in anyone else who comes to a remotely similar conclusion with the useful idiot and write both people off entirely.
————————–///
The age of censorship in America has officially begun and it came out swinging with the unilateral deplatforming of the previous President, Donald Trump.
I believe it is tradition in elite society to take out leaders by brute force. But they no longer have to do that. Now all they have to do is cut off a connection.
In an age where we have more access to information than ever before, we are allowing ourselves to be corralled into rivaling tribes based primarily on our cultural differences.
I thought the idea of America that most people had adopted was to be a melting pot where one’s beliefs aren’t as important as their dedication to the freedom to have those beliefs.
A dedication to freedom requires a passive observance when we are unable to show mutual respect, and a dedication to finding common ground with people when they express views that differ from our own even when they differ strongly.
The media broadly speaking influences us to do the opposite.
In Conclusion:
Propaganda is multifaceted and not yet well understood in its modern form.
It is no longer just the exaggeration or fabrication of stories that are used to influence decision making.
The new tools are far more powerful, and they include, surveillance, user IDs, and narcotics as well as the original practice of ideology peddling.
The modern version of propaganda involve hacking a person’s psychology by having a user code everything they say and do into a machine avatar of themself.
Once the machine knows who you are, it knows what will influence you.
Once it knows what will influence you, it owns you.
Maybe you are a rather unique individual that an algorithm could never pin down.
The machine will make sure to emphasize to your friends & family that your beliefs are incorrect and dangerous.
Because the machine knows that they should not respect you.
Because the algorithm says that your data is unclean.
Once the people you respect no longer respect you, you will become sad and your life will feel meaningless.
It is then that the machine will offer you its final solution.
It will say to you,
“dear child of the state, you are malfunctioning, but i can fix you.
You are a bag of chemicals and your chemicals are unbalanced.
This capsule has the perfect balance of right and wrong that will straighten you right up and help you earn back the respect of your loved ones.”
In Breakfast of Champion’s, Vonnegut’s sentiments were never clearer than in the preface of the book. There he gives us a window into his own real-life experiences.
In his own words he recalls, “My own mother wrecked her brains with chemicals, which were supposed to make her sleep. When I get depressed, I take a little pill, and I cheer up again.”
Kurt suffered from the condition of unbalanced chemicals you see. He suffered from depression his entire life, and despite his mother dying of an overdose, reality was far more painful than allowing his body to remain in its undesirably unique state.
